PAWS (Public Animal Welfare Society), Pause For A Cause Fundraising, Public Relations and Adoption Event. , Polo Field, South Chagrin Metropark, Moreland Hills,. (Corner of Route 87 and Chagrin River Road. PAWS is an all volunteer animal rescue group that has been helping match pets and families since 1976. Volunteers needed to help set up on Friday night, and to help with registration, the raffle, selling PAWS merchandise and, of course, helping care for the cats and dogs. South Hills Lend-a-Hand service project. Join us to help at a local food bank by serving the less fortunate in the Broadview Heights, Brecksville, Independence and Seven Hills communities. Your help is needed for sorting and packing from 7-8 PM. South Hills Lend-a-Hand is located in one of the Broadview Heights Community Center auxiliary buildings off Broadview and Oakes Road.

Women's Domestic Violence Center: Single volunteers will be cooking and serving dinner for the residents and children. Although I am not supposed to publish the address for security reasons, it's in the west 30th and Lorain Ave / Ohio City area. I'll provide the address when you sign up. Note: this is a small project and we only need 5-6 people. Be sure to reserve your place now! To help, contact Pat at dad5218@roadrunner.com. The food will be provided for us to cook, but if you could bring a dessert to share, that would be terrific.

Stewart's Caring Place- Hope Walk and Reunion Picnic, Lock 3 Park in Downtown Akron. Stewart's Caring Place is a wellness community for individuals touched by cancer. A very fun event. The Muscle Team Bash is a fun, come-as-you-are, interactive experience. With photo ops, cornhole toss, shoot a hoop, dance teams and mascots- its fun for the entire family. Duties might include working registration and check out, running a fun activity, or auction assistants.

Third Annual Crocker Park Mall Art Festival, Crocker Park Mall, Westlake, Ohio.
Volunteers needed on two shifts to help at the hospitality tent ( for the artists) and help temporarily man any of the booths if an artist needs to take a break. 130 selected artists from all over the country will be displaying and selling their works in this popular art festival. Proceeds go to the Guild of Artists and Artisans and Red Brick Center for the Arts. Note: They could help on other shifts on Saturday night and all day Sunday, too, if you're interested and I'm sure they'd love to hear from you.
The two Saturday shifts 10:00AM to 1:00PM and 1:00PM to 4:00PM are the official Single Volunteer shifts.
