An alternative way for
singles to meet, while changing in some small way, the world we all share.
A single person CAN make
a difference
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
What
is Single Volunteers?
Single Volunteers is a social
organization for singles that provides a relaxed environment in which
to meet others while supporting various community groups through
volunteering. Pretty simple, huh?
Single Volunteers is
an Ohio non-profit 501(c) organization with chapters
all over the world .
Single Volunteers is non-sectarian and concentrates mainly on
helping various community organizations.
It's a great way to meet people and make
new friends .
What are the membership
requirements?
You must be 21 years of age or older.
You must be single (but you already figured that out, right?). If
you have a wedding ring on your finger, we'd be more than happy to help
you find another group that would appreciate your assistance.
No minimum attendance requirements, no
long term commitments, no agreements to sign, nothing. We won't make
you buy anything. We're banking on the fact that you'll like us
enough to want to keep coming back.
We're a very easy group of people to
get involved with and we're always going to be that way.
What does it cost to join Single
Volunteers?
Nothing .Single Volunteers membership is free. No
dues. Zip. Nada.
What about leader positions in
Single Volunteers?
Leadership positions are always available and
your participation is encouraged and welcome. If you'd like to assist as
an Event Coordinator, we'd especially like to hear from you. If you want
to help, we'll find a place for you.

How
do I find out about (and sign up for) upcoming projects and events?
The best way to keep informed is to check our
events page regularly and to subscribe to our e-mail newsletter by sending
a blank email to: svohio-subscribe@egroups.com.
Once you sign up to receive our free email newsletter, you'll be kept up to
date with all upcoming events and breaking news. We email it about twice a
month, so don't worry about getting bombarded with spam.
How do I join Single Volunteers?
Jump in anywhere.
The easiest thing
to do is to offer to help at one of our various volunteer opportunities.
All events have an Event Coordinator listed and all you need to do is to
let that person know that you'd like to help. That's it, that's all there
is to it. And we'd be grateful for your assistance. The Event Coordinator
will be in charge of getting you the details as to when and where to meet
and will be in charge of introducing you to the other members of the group
that are helping on that project. If you'd like to attend one
of our monthly meetings to meet some of the other members, you are
always welcome to come on in. Meetings are always open and friendly.
We think you'll like the group enough that you'll keep coming back.
Are there any meetings?
Visitors and members are always invited to attend our
monthly meetings, usually held the last Saturday of every month. The purpose of these meetings is to
allow all of the members to meet each other and to discuss future projects
and plans ( If you've got some ideas, bring them on in!) . Meetings are at
the
St. Joseph Chuch in their St. Mary
Hall, 12700 Pearl Rd. in Strongsville. Note: Although we'd love to have you come to
any of our meetings, it is not a pre-requisite for membership. Meetings are
always open to any
and all interested people. Feel free to come in and meet some friendly
people.
